| Study rooms |
[15 Dec 2009|06:41am] |
I was wondering if anyone wanted to procrastinate their finals studying by telling me how the study rooms at the Ross School of Business work. I heard they had an online reservation system, so I was wondering what people's experiences with it were. It's such fancy pants technology!
Thanks!

| Got a Couch for two in Seattle near New Year's Eve? |
[13 Dec 2009|10:08am] |
Hello dear Burners!
My boyfriend and I are going to Seattle for a wedding on New Years day. We have a couch to surf for the 30th and 1st, but we are hoping to extend our stay by a day or two on either end because my BF has never seen the west coast and Seattle is such an amazing place, it would be a shame to not show him more of it since we're going to be there already.
We come fully equipped, have our own transportation, are self-sufficient and will leave no trace. We are likely to be out sightseeing most of the time and not underfoot too much.
We are happy, funny, easygoing, and will respect your home as if it were our own, which you are also welcome to come visit! Burners are the best!
Max, my BF went to his first burn this year. It was my 10th burn. I was in Silicon Village with the Mist'r Cool camp.
Apart from the wedding, and a tentative plan to be at Seattle center for the turning of the year, we have no real agenda.
Hope to hear from one of you Burning Lovelies soon! Kitte and Max

| ca341 - The Winter War In Tibet - Eurasia Deluxe |
[11 Dec 2009|12:42pm] |

Artist: The Winter War In Tibet Title: Eurasia Deluxe #ca341 Date: 2009-12-11 Keywords: improvisation; psychedelic rock; kraut rock; post rock; ambient; shoegazing; minimal; experimental; drone; avant-garde (320 kbps)
"Magical music on "Eurasia" is full of apprentice's patience, unruffled cal and Buddhist leniency towards all living beings. We hear insisde ourselves what is there and take it as it is". Simply speaking, they are playing the air and aren't being in a stew. The most important discipline of The Winter War In Tibet is the lightness and naturalness - the lightness and naturalness of running water.
Band THE WINTER WAR IN TIBET was formed in 2008 in Minsk, Belarus. This is collaboration of musicians from Minsk groups BOGOMATER’ CVETOV (FLOWERMOTHER), URLA MAKABRA, INSUMTHINMAGMA, CHILDREN OF ISHIZUKE TREE, THE SHAPE, SANGIITA SHUNAKA and SNEZHINKI. A distinctive feature of the band’s music are the sound experimentation and improvisations at the junction of ethnic, rave and rock. Band’s name comes from the similar book written by Swiss writer Friedrich Durrenmatt. THE WINTER WAR IN TIBET has made its debut at the opening of the international festival “Kamen” («Камень») in Minsk in October 2008, accompanying Damo Suzuki, the world-known vocalist of cult German kraut-rock band CAN. In 2009 the band recorded about 20 improvisatory releases. Contact: http://www.lastfm.ru/music/The+Winter+War+in+Tibet

Hello there, I'm doing a small survey for a journalism class on climate change, an was wondering if you had time, wouldn' mind anwsering a few questins? I really ppreciate you imput, and if this isn't allowed here, please feel free to delete it!
How do you feel about the recent news about the stolen emails regarding climate change? Did the news change your opinion on the issue?
Do you think the media “over reports” or hypes up the issue of global warming? Do you believe to be as important as it is often reported?
Do you think “going green” has become a trend? Do you think companies take advantage of it as a marketing strategy?
What do you do, if anything, to lesser you carbon footprint/make the world “greener”?
Thanks again!

| Host a fun & free girls night with lots of free rewards! |
[04 Dec 2009|06:50pm] |
Hey everyone! My name's Toni and I'm from Dearborn. I'm a PartyLite consultant and wanted to inform you about a fun and free girls night with lots of rewards for you. We have CRAZY deals for January, so I wanted to let everyone know so they can take advantage of them.
PartyLite is a company that sells candles, candle holders, home decoration, flameless fragrances, bath and body products, and much more. We also have special products for weddings, special occasions, and fundraisers. Hosting a PartyLite party is very simple and earns you TONS of free stuff! All it takes is an hour out of your time. I can come by whenever is best for you. The party will only last about an hour. An hour is worth all the free stuff you get! Don't even worry about the invites- I'll send out the invites via email or through the mail for you. I'll bring snacks as well. :) Anyways, onto the hostess deals!
I'm currently booking shows after December 18th or shows in January.
December shows hostess rewards include 25% hostess credit, 5 dozen votive candles for $15, and tons more specials including many gifts under $5.
The real place to save money is January though. In January we're running a HUGE special for FIFTY PERCENT hostess credit for only $15!!!!!! What this means is that for $15, you get 50% of the total of your party in product. For example, an average party with ten people sells $400. That means you'd get $200 in product for $15!!!!!! You choose the products you'd like. You can't beat it! We also have 10 dozen tealight candles for $10 in January, and many other specials I can tell you about if you are interested. We also will have the 2010 items available starting December 16th. They aren't up on the website yet, but they are gorgeous! You can check out some examples of our products on our website though. www.partylite.com.
My email address is: Tonijmccann@aol.com. If you have any questions or are interested in a fun, free girls night with lots of great rewards, let me know!
I also have a friend who sells Mary Kay cosmetics, and so we could do a joint Mary Kay and PartyLite party if you are interested in that as well!
Also- if you're looking for a great job where you create your own hours, ask me about becoming a consultant!

| psych majors! |
[03 Dec 2009|03:45pm] |
Hello trusty UM students!
Have any of you taken cognitive psychology (or any other class) with James Hoeffner? I heard the other professor for cognitive is good but I can't take his section, so any of you know much about this one?
Also, are there any GSI's for either cognitive psych or psychopathology you would absolutely nottt recommend?
Also, do any of you know if Seifert has previously offered the Psychology of Creativity? I REALLY want to take this class but all of the sections are already closing. I e-mailed her but she hasn't gotten back to me, too.
THANK YOUUUU! x
